The 4th isssue of Delta Airlines insignia has two variations. The most obvious of the differences is that the earlier issue (Type I) has a flat finish on the gold toning and the white in the widget is a larger size than the later issue (Type II). The differences are more evident when one is held up to the other and the comparison is made. The Type II insignia has a brighter gold toned finish and the white enamel is smaller. Most likely this occured due to a change in manufacturers.
